Leadership

Ian Grant, Managing Partner

 

Ian is a successful serial entrepreneur who has started and grown companies (3 founded and all acquired). He has been a leader in business innovation, sales and marketing, and in operations.


He is a highly strategic leader with history of creating solutions to address current and developing market needs. As a senior executive, with a record of directing successful businesses in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments, he successfully built, managed and motivated strong teams with diverse industry backgrounds.

dMTS-Group, Inc and HotChili Technology (Both firms later were acquired by Personnel Group of America (at the time NYSE:PGA) for $11.0 million.)

          Chief Operating Officer and Head of Sales & Marketing; Co-Founder
          One of the original pioneers of Internet-based recruitment/career services and resume management services

VillageGenie.com (acquired by Lee Hecht Harrison, a subsidiary of Adecco, SA ($15 billion co.; at the time NYSE: ADO)

          President/CEO; Founder

          Venture-backed start-up company that provided private-labeled, Internet content sites to help colleges and internet communities increase the value they provided their alumni/students.

 

 

Pure Barnyard, Inc./Cockadoodle DOO Organic Lawn & Garden Products

    Chief Operating Officer/Chief Marketing Officer (partner and board member).

          The company is a leader in the organic lawn and garden fertilizer market. Cockadoodle DOO™ organic fertilizer and related products are sold into the consumer lawn and garden and commercial markets.

 

ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER

Hired in 2018 by the University of New Hampshire to launch the newly created Peter T. Paul Entrepreneurship Center. Multiple national recognition and awards. Thousands of impacted students who learned how to identify problems and create solutions.  Many of those went on to launch for-profit and non-profit companies that were funded and in 2 cases accepted into Y Combinator. Ian continues to coach and mentor and judge business competitions.

 

REAL ESTATE


Ian started his career in corporate/commercial real estate at Boston based Spaulding & Slye (Now Jones Lang LaSalle) and The DOGO Company now does property management for apartments and Airbnb . At Spaulding & Slye he was a Vice President and  Senior Corporate Real Estate Broker/Consultant in the Cambridge and Boston markets. His professional real estate success included: 

  • Broker of the Year

  • Leading Producer of the Year and  one of the top five producers for three years
